Luck by Chance - Releasing on January 30, 2009

Luck By Chance is a forthcoming Hindi film to be directed by debutante Zoya Akhtar. The film will star Konkona Sen Sharma and Farhan Akhtar in lead roles and Rishi Kapoor, Dimple Kapadia, Juhi Chawla, Hrithik Roshan, Isha Sharvani and Sanjay Kapoor in supporting roles.

Plot

The film is about the journey of an actor named Vikram Jaisingh (Farhan Akhtar) who arrives in Bombay to make it big as a film star with the help of Abhimanyu (Arjun Mathur) a TV star friend, who puts him up during the initial struggle. Does he make it big? or does his struggle defeat him, and more importantly, does he pay his dues to the people who supported him when he was nobody, forms the basic crux of the story. In the film Rishi Kapoor and Dimple Kapadia will also be seen in prominent roles and Rishi plays a Punjabi producer Romy Rolly .Konkana Sen Sharma will be doing the role of a junior artist named Sona Mishra, with Hrithik Roshan playing the role of a superstar. The story is about these actors of Bollywood.

Kites - Filming(will be release in 2009)

Kites is a forthcoming Bollywood film to be directed by Anurag Basu, and produced by Rakesh Roshan that will star Hrithik Roshan, Barbara Mori, Kangana Ranaut And Luce Rains and is going to be released in June 2009. The film is reportedly a high budget movie and has world rights valued to $25 million.

Development

The film will be Basu's seventh directorial venture in total. Some of his most appreciated and acclaimed work to date has been Murder, Gangster and Life In A... Metro.

In sharp contrast to Basu's earlier movies, Kites will be mounted on a huge canvas, and shot across Los Angeles, Las Vegas and New Mexico. To make it more glamorous Rakesh Roshan has even roped in Latin American actress Barbara Morias Hrithik's heroine. The film will also star Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut who has previously worked with Basu in Gangster and Life In A... Metro.

Shooting started on 28th July 2008 and continued till 15th September 2008 across various parts of the USA for 3 months, after that the final schedule will be in India for 2 months, meaning filming should be complete by January 2009. There after the film will go in to post-production and is scheduled to be released in mid 2009. The Shooting was recently disrupted in New Mexico due to the onset of Hurricane lke and hence added on to the costs of the movie and disturbing the shooting schedules. Reported was a controversy surrounding a lip-lock with Barbara in the film. this was the second time that Hrithik got into a controversy regarding a smooch, first was kissing Aishwarya Rai in Dhoom 2 in 2006.

Plot

The movie is supposed to be an intense Triangular Love Story wherein Kangana Ranaut is Hrithik’s Wife and Barbara Mori is his Mistress.

The film is rumoured to be inspired by 2005 Woody Allen film Match Point.

about Kites

The shooting of Rakesh Roshan’s Kites has not yet been started and the rights of the film have already been sold at a whopping price of Rs. 120 crore to Eros International. But Rakesh Roshan and Eros International remained tight-lipped on the deal. Roshan just landed in India after selecting suitable locales for the shooting in US. Father-son duo always proved a hit and some good result is also expected from Kites. It will be the fourth big release of Rakesh Roshan and Hrithik after his launching pad, Kaho Naa pyar Hai, Koi Mil Gaya and Krrish. It is a big budget film and seemilgly consists of many hot sequences of Hrithik and US based model Barbara Mori. Kites also star Kangna Ranaut in a pivotal role. The distribution price of Rs. 120 crore is highest in Bollywood and Eros had already paid them 10 crore and will pay more as the shooting progresses. The shooting is not yet started as Hrithik was busy with his prior assignments and Suzanne’s delivery. It is start to roll soon and will hit the floor by the early next year.
